Four tracks from the upcoming Gorillaz album have been leaked, after fans were able to get a hold of their recordings by accessing private videos uploaded by a lighting technician who had previously worked with the band.
Fans of the band noticed that a recording of track ‘Saturnz Barz’ had been uploaded to the Vimeo account of Dylan Byrne, with them then working diligently to gain access to the password-protected videos. Eventually the Redditor mrmoosechill came up with the goods, confirming to his fellow Gorillaz detectives that the password was — and we’re not kidding here — ‘2017.’ Yes, tracks from one of the most hotly anticipated upcoming albums of the year were hidden behind potentially the most easily solvable password imaginable.

Soon enough fans had managed to gain access to Byrne’s private videos, revealing that they were brand new recordings from Gorillaz’s as-yet-untitled new LP. This adds further credibility to the leaked track list posted online last week, with a number of these tracks having also been registered with the music licensing company Phonographic Performance Limited. They point towards guest performances from the likes of Grace Jones, De La Soul and Danny Brown.
The album will feature the band’s anti-Trump protest song, ‘Hallelujah Money’.
Unfortunately the Vimeo account has hurriedly been deleted, with reuploads of the tracks also being swiftly removed from YouTube, SoundCloud and the like. You cake a look through the extensive track list below:
