I love animals, I really do. But I also know not to be idiot when it comes to petting them. For example: if I see a cute kitten, I go ahead and pet it because chances are it won’t rip my arm off. If I somehow happen to see a lion, I won’t go ahead and pet it because chances are it will try to rip my arm off. But the video below should show you video proof of someone who clearly is an idiot when it comes to petting an animal.
Scott Baldwin, a pro rugby player, apparently went to see a lion who was behind a large fence to keep it from attacking humans. Well, that didn’t work because Baldwin decided to pet the lion on the head like he was petting a little kitten he had just adopted.
Bad move:

And believe it or not Baldwin still has his arm after that stupid decision. Baldwin was treated with antibiotics and received stitches, so he should be back to getting hit by grown men without pads soon.
Here’s what Baldwin’s coach, Steve Tandy had to say:
“I don’t know what sort of wildlife show Scott has been watching where you can pat a lion on the head as if it’s a kitten.”
Good thing Baldwin gets hit for a living and doesn’t have to use his brain very much.
