Are you already having New Year’s resolution regret? That commitment to hit the gym more and live a healthier lifestyle seems like a long, long time ago. I feel you. And, yes… you’re soft.

Change is hard. Especially life changes. So I am here to get you off your couch. Crave’s Workout Playlist will make you want to burn some lb’s with new songs from your favorite artists that will inspire the fire within you.
Justin Timberlake – “Filthy”
JT is literally bringing “SexyBack” on his new Timbaland produced single off his forthcoming album, Man of the Woods. Sure, it’s basically “SexyBackS” as in the iPhone upgrade, but the electro-funk jam can still get your body movin’ (the “g” is for softies) in between the sheets or gym floor with lines like “what you gonna do with all that meat?” Ideal Workout: Dance Class
Sofi Tukker – “Best Friend” feat. NERVO, The Knocks & Alisa Ueno
My first article at Crave was a feature on Sofi Tukker, a year and a half later, they’re global pop stars, hawking Apple products and I’m still a music editor. I digress… or is it regress. It’s pretty easy to hear why “Best Friend” caught the ear of Apple execs, with lyrics like “you’re my best friend and we’ve got some shit to shoot”, then the wicked house beat drops and the next thing you know, you’ve spent next month’s rent on an iPhoneX or in this case a year of ClassPass. Ideal Workout: Spin Class
Kendrick Lamar, SZA – “All The Stars”
An epic and powerful song from two Grammy 2018 nominees, “All the Stars” sounds like a mantra more than a pop song from a comic book movie (in this case Marvel’s Black Panther). Kendrick, as always spits fire, revving up your heartbeat as SZA shifts gears with a soul-bearing chorus that carries you across the finish line. Ideal workout: run.
Kygo – “Kids in Love” feat. The Night Game
Tropical music maestro Kygo’s ode to early ’80s arena rock is what a green juice shot sounds like. This is the kind of music motivator you turn the volume up on as you get ready to crush a Wednesday. Ideal workout: morning in-home.
Travis Scott and Quavo – “Black & Chinese”
Two of hip-hop’s most turnt team up for a killer song that floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Ideal workout: boxing.
Wolf Alice – “Don’t Delete the Kisses”
The uber-hip British band goes lo-fi in this ethereal love ballad that takes you to another time and space. Ideal workout: yoga.
Kimbra – “Top of the World”
Kimbra does a body good. The cosmic chanteuse’s latest features soulful chants and world beats that dig deeper than your average pop song. Ideal workout: pilates.
