Sorry, bro. Money is one thing that Taylor Swift doesn’t need more of in her life.
According to TMZ, a Connecticut man was arrested and charged with robbery in the second degree and larceny in the fourth degree last week after police said he robbed a bank in Ansonia and then tried to win over country and pop sensation Taylor Swift by allegedly throwing some of the money over the fence outside of her house.
Police said Bruce Rowley didn’t have a weapon on him when he told a teller at the bank to fork over some money, and that surprisingly worked, as he walked out of there with an “undetermined amount of cash.” His reason for holding up the bank? You guessed it – he thought it would impress Taylor Swift.
Police in Rhode Island later spotted Rowley on one of their roads, and after making their presence known, Rowley turned around and beelined it back to Connecticut. He was eventually apprehended by police in the Constitution State, and that’s where he revealed that he wasn’t an asshole, he just had a major crush on Swift. In fact, he was even going to take some of the money he stole and donate it to the Ansonia Police Department in hopes that she would be “impressed.”
