Entertainment storylines and sight gags unintentionally predict the future all the time. Just look at The Simpsons if you don’t believe us. Or Family Guy. Wyoming tornado copied another piece of art.
Wyoming Tornado Makes You Wonder What is Realistic in Movies
Strangely enough, now you can add the 1996 blockbuster Twister to the growing list thanks to footage from storm chaser / self described “Extreme Meteorologist” Reed Timmer. Caught smack dab in the middle of a ferocious tornado near Cheyenne, Wyoming, he took this video of the behemoth instead of running away screaming in the opposite direction.
INTENSE damaging #tornado touches down 20 miles northwest of Cheyenne, WY and retrogrades back west as it widens into massive cone. Had to punch through hook with horizontal softballs to get to this vantage point. Thankfully everyone is okay here@breakingweather @accuweather pic.twitter.com/h2lQUdFGq9

We’ll stick to plain ol’ cow tipping, thanks. No one ever got hurt doing that, right?
Eh, one more ’90s movie reference for the road, at least.
