Alyssa Milano has still got it – and she’s bringin’ to the small screen for Netflix’s new, titillating thriller Brazen.
The crime drama centers around a mystery book author named Grace Miller (Milano) whose sister Kathleen is murdered. It’s only after her sister’s death that Grace learns Kathleen was leading a double life – as a cam girl.
Of course Grace gets involved in the police investigation, which inevitably leads to her sleeping with a detective and posing as a dominatrix to coax the killer out of hiding. (Who’s the Boss now?)
Check out the sexy-scary teaser:
The film is based on the book Brazen Virtue by Nora Roberts and the movie, which is streaming now, was a topic of discussion during Milano’s recent appearance on The View.
“I watched it with my husband Manny, we just loved it. It was like a guilty pleasure getaway, an armchair detective-like film,” co-host Sunny Hostin said. “In the film, you see these online encounters between women who are making a living as dominatrix, and the men who interact with them. You explore the themes of both female empowerment and toxic masculinity here.”
“That was what we hoped to accomplish,” Milano said. “It’s based on a Nora Roberts book, a Nora Roberts book that is a true turn-pager. Or page-turner? But it’s about a crime writer who fights to find her sister’s killer. I think it’s got everything for escapism: it’s got mystery and action and, as we saw, a hot neighbor.”
You had us at dominatrix, Alyssa. Speaking of which, have you considered setting up an OnlyFans? We would gladly be your first subscribers.
