Larry David is an infamous curmudgeon. It’s basically what his series Curb Your Enthusiasm was based on. So it was no surprise when the Seinfeld creator appeared in a Super Bowl commercial in which he time-traveled and criticized everything from the invention of the wheel to the lightbulb to voting.
In the last moments of the ad, he’s in the present, and an FTX rep shows him the app, telling the grumpy celeb it’s “a safe and easy way to get into crypto.”
David responds: “Eh, I don’t think so. And I’m never wrong about this stuff.”
The spot was funny, but we here at Mandatory thought it could be funnier. So we fixed it. Have a look (and listen) and you’ll see what we mean.
