Metro Boomin, born Leland Tyler Wayne, was recently hit with a lawsuit after being sued for an alleged sexual assault that resulted in a pregnancy. A 38-year-old woman named Vanessa LeMaistre has detailed the incident involving the record producer. The complaint also stated that references to the assault appeared in the lyrics of one of the songs Metro Boomin produced.

According to a statement obtained by TMZ, Wayne’s lawyer, Lawrence Hinkle II, has called the lawsuit “a pure shakedown” and that the accusations are “false.” The attorney claimed, “Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now.” Hinkle II noted the 31-year-old record producer will “defend himself in court.” The statement added, “He will file a claim for malicious prosecution once he prevails.”

As per Rolling Stone, LeMaistre’s lawyers filed the sexual lawsuit against Metro Boomin in the Superior Court of California on October 29. The incident occurred after LeMaistre lost her 9-month-old son, Kamden, to a rare disease. The lawsuit detailed the events after the woman met Metro Boomin in Las Vegas in 2016.

It stated, “Wayne invited Ms. LeMaistre to visit him at recording studios in California, where she lived.” As she was “passionate about music,” LeMaistre was “happy for the opportunity to watch” the record producer work. The filing further explained that “music provided an escape from the pain she was in after losing her son.” However, the meeting resulted in “Ms. LeMaistre suffering from the second worst thing that ever happened to her.” The suit alleged, “Being raped by someone who pretended to be her friend for months.”

Plaintiff Vanessa LeMaistre accuses Metro Boomin of sexual assault in a lawsuit

The alleged sexual assault occurred in September 2016, during one of Vanessa LeMaistre’s visits to Metro Boomin’s Los Angeles studio. Upon arriving, she was “immediately given a shot of alcohol,” the lawsuit claimed. At the time, LeMaistre had also “ingested half of a Xanax bar,” a medication she had been taking “to cope with her anxiety after her son’s loss.” The filing also stated that Wayne was going through a “recent break up or trial separation from his long-term girlfriend.”

According to The Washington Post, the lawsuit detailed that LeMaistre was sitting on a couch and lost consciousness while listening to Wayne work on his music. However, she later woke up in a different location while the producer was allegedly raping her. Wayne told her it was a Beverly Hills hotel. According to the filing, LeMaistre couldn’t move while the music producer was performing sex acts as she was drifting in and out of consciousness. Later, she was driven back to the studio where she had left her vehicle.

The lawsuit noted that LeMaistre never gave her consent, reported Rolling Stone. A few weeks later, she learned she was pregnant. However, LeMaistre ended up having an abortion due to her “declining mental health.” In the filing, she claimed she had not had sex with anyone else during the time. As a result, LeMaistre claimed she knew the pregnancy was the result of the alleged rape.

The sexual assault lawsuit also highlighted the lyrics from the 2017 song “Rap Saved Me” by 21 Savage, Offset, and Metro Boomin. The lines read, “She took a Xanny, then she fainted / I’m from the gutter, ain’t no changing / From the gutter, rap saved me / She drive me crazy, have my baby.” While Wayne doesn’t sing the song, LeMaistre believed the lyrics recounted the incident.

Metro Boomin has denied the sexual assault accusations through the statement shared by his attorney, Lawrence Hinkle II.
