CraveOnline has scoured the earth for the finest prog music on the planet, and returned with the proud premiere of the debut album from Norwegian sound-weavers Tusmørke. Led by the creative nucleus of the Momrak twins, their album is called Underjordisk Tusmørke, which translates to “subterranean twilight” – a beautiful precursor to the mystical procession that unfolds in the nine-song release. Tusmørke make their sonic home by bringing together Norse mythology, ancient folk and rock interwoven in dark atmospheres and an embrace of the positively bizarre.
The album listening experience you are about to embark on will conjure up images of pagan rites, witches dancing in the firelight serenading the new moon, eldritch wizards conjuring dark spirits… and it’s no gimmick: This band lives and breathes the same air that flows through the magical lands their music describes. Underjordisk Tusmørke is an otherworldly experience. Listen to the entire album for yourself, exclusively on CraveOnline:
