The Vans Warped Tour is making a return to Australia in November and December this year and will be headlined by acts The Offspring, Parkway Drive and Simple Plan.
The 2013 lineup was announced on Triple J’s Short.Fast.Loud program on Tuesday night and will feature a small, but quality group of acts that will play at six major Australian locations.
AJ Maddah, currently Australia’s most prolific festival promoter, has collected a group of bands that aim to bring “mayhem & DIY punk rock spirit” back to Australia after an 11-year hiatus.
Other big name acts to join The Offspring, Parkway Drive and Simple Plan include The Used, New Found Glory and Hatebreed.
More bands are expected to be included to the current 19-strong lineup. Maddah said in a tweet that fans can expect “supplementary announcements” and to “expect another 4 or 5 internationals as well as a load of locals” to eventually be added closer to the date.
