Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen will return to Australia in November and December as part of an extensive 10-stop tour.
The 78-year-old Cohen, also making a brief visit to New Zealand, will be accompanied by his nine-piece band.
Cohen ended a 15-year stage hiatus in 2008 and returned to Australia the year after, playing a set of sold out concerts. Due to the success of his Australian visit, Cohen returned 18 months later for another batch of arena shows.
Described by Lou Reed as “one of the most important and influential songwriters of our time”, Cohen’s return is his first since releasing Old Ideas in January 2012, his first album since Dear Heather in 2004.

Matt Corby also announced his biggest national tour to date in the lead up to the release of his debut album.
Hitting a number of major Australian destinations, Corby’s latest album will feature production work from the likes of Charlie Andrew (Alt J) and Mocky (Feist, Jamie Lidell, Peaches). The first single from the new album, ‘Resolution’, has gone platinum following the success of the Into The Flame EP’s lead single ‘Brother’, a platinum hit five times over.
