Canada will be treated to shows by two of the industry’s biggest names (and they couldn’t be more different in their sound and audience) – rapper Kanye West has announced shows in Montreal and Hamilton while icon Billy Joel is planning for a solo show in Toronto.
West’s Yeezus Tour will be hitting the Bell Centre in Montreal on February 17th and Copps Coliseum in Hamilton on February 18th. West stopped touring after his back-to-back Toronto shows at the end of December. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday at 10am through Evenko (Montreal) and Ticketmaster (Hamilton) (Global News).
Meanwhile, the Piano Man himself will be taking the stage in Toronto in March. Joel, who is 64, hasn’t played a solo show since 2007, save for his performance this past New Years Eve in New York. Ticket go on sale beginning on Friday at 10am, with advance sales available for American Express cardholders Wednesday and Thursday.
