Shakira’s ‘La La La’ has now surpassed Volkswagen’s ‘The Force’ as the most-shared ad ever.
The song, which was sponsored by Activia in order to celebrate the World Cup, now has over 5,375,000 shares on Facebook, compared to the force which has around 5,373,000.
The research, posted by Unruly, states that Shakira’s YouTube video was propelled by the singer being the first person to garner 100 million likes on the social networking site. ‘The Force,’ which advertised VW’s 2012 Passat, was propelled by an airing in the 2011 Super Bowl, with it having now reached over 60 million views on YouTube. However, ‘La La La’ has achieved a staggering 264 million views on the site, so it’s no surprise that it eventually surpassed it as the most-shared advertisement on the Internet.
