The Squamish Valley Music Festival, which kicks off tomorrow, will feature a number of A-list performers, including rapper Eminem, Montreal’s own Arcade Fire, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, and more.
Over 70 performers will take to one of four stages over the course of the three-day event, which began in 2010. Sam Roberts Band and Foster The People, who recently appeared at Montreal’s Osheaga, will also be there, along with Nas, The Roots, Lykke Li, and Walk Off The Earth. The complete schedule is available here. More than 35,000 people are expected at each day of the festival, many of whom are camping on the 81-acre site (and, if you are, be sure to read about bear safety in the area… seriously).
For those who are attending, update or download the new Squamish Festival app to have all the latest and greatest information at your fingertips, including wristband registration and top ups, artist schedules and profiles, interactive site map, Soundcloud playlist, and more (you can do that here for iPhone and Android devices).
“We’re firmly planted and stepping into the level of a world class festival. We’ve heard nothing but rave reviews. How beautiful the site is. How easy it is to get to,” said Executive Director Paul Runnals to Global News.
The Squamish Valley Music Festival runs from August 8-10.
