Tickets for Glastonbury 2015 have sold out in record time, with 120,000 tickets being shifted in just 26 minutes.
By comparison, tickets for Glastonbury 2013 took 87 minutes to sell out. While that number’s nothing to balk at, it shows that demand for entry to the UK’s biggest festival is higher than ever, with its popularity continuing to endure despite its organisers never confirming its scheduled acts prior to the tickets going on sale.

Many were inevitably left disappointed that they couldn’t get their hands on a ticket this year, with SeeTickets releasing a statement reading: “Tickets sold out in record time – sorry to everyone who didn’t get tickets. Small amount will be available next year in the resale.”
The resale will see some of the tickets that were sold last weekend be pushed online again, if those who purchased them are unable to cough up the £225 asking price come the date of payment.
Emily Eavis, the daughter of the festival’s organiser Michael Eavis, tweeted: “We have sold out, thank you to everyone for supporting us and i’m sorry to those of you who have missed out.”
She added: “I’m sorry to everyone who missed out, so wish we could get everyone in. There will be a resale in the spring.”
There have been rumours that Fleetwood Mac and Queen (sans Freddie Mercury, obviously) will headline the festival, though Muse and Stone Roses are also among the bookies’ favourites to take to the infamous Pyramid Stage over the course of the weekend.
