Jose Mourinho was seemingly very unhappy following Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Everton this past weekend, with him being recorded swearing at the Merseyside club’s manager Roberto Martinez during the manager’s post-match interview.

Chelsea were trounced 3-1 at Goodison Park on Saturday (September 12th), with last season’s Premier League winners now having conceded more goals than any other team this season. This result had clearly got under the skin of Mourinho, who interrupted an interview between Martinez and the Liverpool ECHO in order to complain that the Everton boss was taking questions from journalists before he was, considering that Chelsea had to travel back to London.

“Roberto next time tell me go before you because we have to travel,” Mourinho says to Martinez in the below audio clip, before Martinez replies: “We don’t control that Jose, I don’t control that.” Mourinho can then be heard muttering “Fucking hell,” with Martinez then telling ECHO’s reporter: “When he beat us 6-3 he was such a nice man, I prefer him like that!”

The ECHO’s sports editor John Thompson later commented on the incident in a video for the outlet, bringing Mourinho’s professionalism into question and berating how the Chelsea manager had handled his club’s loss.

Chelsea continue to languish at the bottom of the league this season, with only one victory under their belt. Meanwhile, Everton are enjoying a solid start, currently sitting in 6th place after their upset victory over the Blues.

When questioned about their loss against Everton, Mourinho claimed that Chelsea needed two consecutive victories to see them achieve winning form once again. While he claimed that they were capable of beating Arsenal in their next match, when said that he didn’t know whether his club could take the Premier League trophy this season.
