Imagine if Facebook and Twitter had been invented by the same man. In Vertigo Comics’ Unfollow, that man was Larry Ferrell. He became a social media billionaire at 24 years old. But Ferrell is dying of cancer, and he has a way to make his demise memorable.
140 seemingly random individuals from around the world have been chosen to be Ferrell’s heirs. Each of the 140 will get a share of Ferrell’s $17 billion dollar fortune. But if any of the 140 die, then each person would get a larger share. And if one only person from the 140 is still alive when Ferrell dies then they will get everything.
It’s a game to test their humanity. And how long do you think it will be before the 140 tear each other apart to be the last man or woman standing?
CraveOnline is proud to present an exclusive preview from Unfollow # 2, which fleshes out two of the 140. First up is Akira, a famous Japanese author and revolutionary. You’ll soon know why he became famous…
The second member of the 140 is the enigmatic Deacon, a seemingly delusional man of God who is apparently well equipped to take out anyone who opposes him. Let’s just say that he’s bringing the guns to the twitter fight. Although twitter is called Chirper in this world. Just go with it.
Unfollow is the creation of writer Rob Williams and artist Michael Dowling. Matt Taylor is the cover artist for the series.
Vertigo will release Unfollow # 2 on Wednesday, December 2.
