UPDATE 29/05/17: Eric Andre has cancelled his plans for a rescheduled 2017 Australian tour.
ORIGINAL STORY: Slap your LOLs on ice for a while, because Eric Andre has been forced to postpone his forthcoming Australian tour.
Living up to his rep of being totally unpredictable, the comic has just shelved his second Aussie jaunt due to “unforeseen media commitments”.
The tour was set to see the Adultswim LOLsmith make his debut before fans in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth while returning to Sydney and Melbourne this May. At this stage, the rescheduled dates have yet to be announced.
A statement from promoters Frontier Touring reads:
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Revised show dates are close to being rescheduled and will be announced as soon as possible. If the new dates are not suitable, rest assured ticketholders will be able to secure a refund.
While we encourage fans to hold onto their tickets until the new dates are announced, the option to secure a refund is now available to you via the official ticketing agency you purchased the tickets from.
ICYMI: Andre’s Melbourne shows late last year saw him break Jim Jefferies’ record for the biggest crowds the Comic Lounge had ever seen, surely due in no small part to the surprise appearance of his Eric Andre Show co-host Hannibal Buress, who recently wrapped up his own Aussie stand-up tour.
