Apparently McDonald’s Is The Top Choice When Potheads Get The Munchies

It appears as though marijuana and shitty food really do go hand-in-hand, much like peanut butter and letting your dog lick – you know, never mind.

According to BroBible, the crew at Forbes recently conducted an online survey for people in “25 markets where marijuana has been legalized with a base population of 55 million.” 27,500 people responded, with 8.5 percent of them saying they “purchased cannabis from a legally authorized dispensary.”

Apparently McDonald’s Is The Top Choice When Potheads Get The Munchies

So far that’s not really newsworthy, but when you throw in the fact that 43 percent of those pot smokers said that when it came time to take care of the munchies over the last four weeks, there was no better place for them to do it at than the Golden Arches, well, now you’ve got my attention.

43 percent is an even larger number when you take into consideration that the munchies list’s second-place finisher, Taco Bell, came in at just 18 percent. Sniffing their ass across the finish line? You guessed it: Wendy’s (17.8 percent) and Burger King (17.6 percent).

Vice President of Consumer Research Around Cannabis Jeff Stein said the reason McDonald’s is number one on the list is simple: They have the most locations.

“McDonald’s wins by virtue of the sheer number of locations – by default, really,” Stein said. “Those competitors which better understand cannabis users and their consumer habits can certainly close the gap by integrating what they learn through their marketing efforts.”

Sounds to us like it’s just another reason for the gang at In-N-Out Burger to take their shit nationwide. Here’s the rest of the list:

1. McDonald’s
2. Taco Bell
3. Wendy’s
4. Burger King
5. Subway
6. Kentucky Fried Chicken
7. Arby’s
8. Chick-Fil-A
9. Jack-In-The-Box
10. Carl’s Jr.
