Just when you thought we came out from under the dark cloud that was the COVID-19 pandemic – with all its toilet paper hoarding insanity – here comes another slew of food and product shortages.
A few months ago, President Biden notified the American public that due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, food scarcity was imminent.
“It’s going to be real,” the most useless man in the world Biden said. “The price of these sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia; it’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well. Both Russia and Ukraine have been the breadbasket of Europe in terms of wheat, for example—just to give you one example.”
Well, that warning unfortunately came true. Grocery store shelves have been emptier than our souls recently. Everything from hot sauce and nutty spreads to hygiene products and natural gas byproducts are out of stock. Putin must really hate us given all the wonderful things we can’t get anymore. And the stuff we can get is expensive AF thanks to inflation. We just can’t win.
In case you haven’t had the displeasure of being unable to find your favorite thing or edible at the store, we’re rounding up the current items we can’t seem to nab anywhere.
