Battlefield 4 looks good, there’s no doubt about it. Thankfully, you’ll be able to play it for yourself soon enough.
During EA’s Gamescom press conference, DICE’s Karl Magnus Troedsson announced that the open beta for BF4 will launch this October. While no specific dates were announced, it’s probably safe to assume that it will be in early October considering the game releases in North America on October 29th.
Troedsson went on to discuss BF4 Premium, which will include new updates every week and give you early access to new content, including five expansion packs and 12 battle packs. Really, nothing groundbreaking here, but just like with Battlefield 3 subscribing to Premium will save you money in the long run.
