We get all kinds of information from the Michigan Film Office. (Guess they aren’t used to this kind of big budget thing.) Anyhoo, a report Friday on Crave’s Collider website cites a spokeswoman for the film office saying the sequel to Man of Steel will have a $131 million budget.
Batman vs. Superman will shoot in Detroit (where we reported in August the production will spend $35 million) and seven sound studios in Pontiac.
We’re betting this $131 million figure won’t be the final budget Warner Bros. and DC spend on the sequel. Zack Snyder spent an estimated $225 million for Man of Steel. But it’s good to know we can count on Michigan to get all the details for us. Good looking out, Wolverine State!
