Steve-O Climbs Downtown Calgary Landmark

Steve-O, who some would say is the world’s ultimate daredevil, recently posted a picture of himself climbing the giant head sculpture known as “Wonderland” outside of The Bow building in Calgary.

He tweeted: “Why would they put this awesome jungle gym right in downtown Calgary if they didn’t want me to climb to the top?”

Steve-O, born Stephen Gilchrist Glover, became a household name after being one of the stars of the hit show-turned-movie “Jackass.”

“It’s reckless and it’s irresponsible,” said owner H and R spokesman Morten Paulsen, to CBC News. “It’s disrespectful to a piece of art that Calgarians treasure.” Likely, that’s what Steve-O was going for.

Councillor Druh Farrell added (to Global News), “We want art that people can enjoy and get close to and that’s the wonderful thing about Wonderland. You can go inside it and see a completely different perspective and the last thing we want to do is to block people off.”
