For years, the 70s and 80s music that helped make The Wonder Years a TV classic actually held up the release of a DVD set of the show. But Crave’s /Film reported Wednesday that those issues are behind them and Star Vista Entertainment will release the series with almost every song used in the episodes.
The company secured music rights from Joe Cocker (whose cover of the Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends” was the show’s theme song), Bob Dylan, Smokey Robinson, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison and others. The DVD collection of The Wonder Years is expected late this year.
