So…we’re just about getting to the end of this whole Angry Birds thing, right?
You know, it was cute and all when it was just Angry Birds, then we all got a good chuckle at Angry Birds Star Wars, but the joke is pretty heavily played out at this point.
However, if there are merchandising dollars on the table, the good folks at Rovio aren’t shy about scooping up those bucks (as the consumer avalanche of Angry Birds-emblazoned products can attest), so it’s no surprise that the company Monday announced the imminent release of Angry Birds Transformers.
As reported by Crave gaming site Destructoid, we didn’t get many details about the game, other than it’ll be rolling into app stores soon. And with a game with a title like Angry Birds Transformers, which is being billed as “birds disguised as robots in disguise,” there really isn’t a lot of mystery here, is there?
Oh, and don’t forget — this might have something to do with the June 27 release of Transformers: Age of Extinction. But we’re just guessing…
