Months ago in the pages of Uncanny X-Men, Alison Blaire aka Dazzler was named as a mutant liaison agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. before she was kidnapped and replaced by Mystique. Once Dazzler was comatose, Mystique used her to create a new type of MGH to sell as a drug.
Magneto recently rescued Dazzler and brought her to Cyclops’ X-Men team to be healed. And it looks like Dazzler won’t be heading back to S.H.I.E.L.D. anytime soon.
Uncanny X-Men writer, Brian Michael Bendis has posted the cover of Uncanny X-Men # 24 on his tumblr account (via Comic Book Resources). The cover features Dazzler in her new costume as she tears apart images of herself in her previous outfits.
The new Dazzler design was created by Kris Anka, who also drew the cover posted above. It’s a drastic departure from Dazzler’s most recent costumes, but it is somewhat similar to the punk rock inspired Dazzler that Bendis previously used in Ultimate X-Men.
Uncanny X-Men # 24 and the new look Dazzler will be their debut in July.
