Comic-Con never technically “ends.” The ramifications of the various panels and presentations carry on throughout the year as all the movie studios react to exciting new trends and ideas as fans react to them in real time. Previous years have seen announcements of groundbreaking movie crossovers, unexpectedly intriguing adaptations and casting news that took audiences completely by surprise. But this year… not so much.
