This week, Thrillbent.com is launching Santa Claus: Private Eye, a new web comic that explores Santa’s other career when he’s not hauling presents around on Christmas.
Created by TV and video game writer Jeremy Bernstein, Santa Claus: Private Eye follows Santa as a down-and-out P.I. who loathes the holiday season. There’s no case too dirty or lurid for this incarnation of Santa. And when the story picks up in the present, Santa finds himself drawn into a new mystery that he has to solve with only two days before he has to get back to the North Pole and make Christmas happen on schedule.
Bernstein has previously written for “Leverage” and the video game, Dead Space 2. Michael Dorman is the artist of Santa Claus: Private Eye, who has previously drawn Logan’s Run: Aftermath and Tales from the Dark Universe. Comic veteran Rob Schwager is handling the colors while Troy Peteri is the letterer.
The first chapter of Santa Claus: Private Eye is currently available on Thrillbent.com, with new chapters scheduled to go up every Monday. Santa Claus: Private Eye and every web comic on Thrillbent is available to read for a $3.99 monthly subscription.
