Halloween Events From Coast To Coast

Halloween isn’t just an evening for the young trick-or-treaters, especially when it falls on a Friday – it’s also a fun night to put on a disguise and do something out of the ordinary. Maybe some of these Halloween events taking place across the country will lure you in…

Montreal

Go on a haunted tour or ghost hunt with Fantômes Montreal, or stop by PEUR DÉPÔT and see if you can make it through their terrifying tour in the Old Port. Montrealers also swarm to LaRonde for their annual Fright Fest, or, if you’ll be in the area, visit Incognito at Les Entrepôts Dominion with masks, fashion, and a silent auction with prizes.

Toronto

From the annual Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland (with a slew of hair-raising events taking over the park) to the Toronto Zombie Walk & Halloween Parade (which is celebrating its 12th year), a Haunted Toronto Scavenger Hunt to a Halloween Party Monster Mash at Irish Embassy Pub and Grill, Toronto knows how to celebrate Halloween right!

Ottawa

Saunders Farm always offers some family-friendly fun with their spooky wagon ride and more, but for something a little less G-rated, consider the capital’s haunted walk season, which is now in its 18th season. There’s also a Paranormal Investigation of Watson’s Mill, a must-do (if your heart can take it).

Vancouver

The West Coast will be the last ones celebrating Halloween but that doesn’t mean their celebrations are less exciting. There’s the Gravecouver Haunted House (and they warn: this is not for young kids), the Stanley Park Ghost Train, Vancouver Haunted Trolley Tours, and for the first time, families can attend Vancouver’s free Halloween parade downtown.

Calgary

Calgarians: Halloween should be spent at ScreamFest, complete with haunted houses, games, and creepy entertainment (not recommended for children or the faint of heart). The Coven by Haunted Calgary also features the city’s largest longest-running yard hunt.

Halifax

East Coasters can spend Halloween on the Halloween Howler Club Crawl, Canada’s only student party company who set a record last year with over 10,000 students participating across Canada. Haunted Wharf on Halloween Night will feature fan-favourite local DJs at Murphys On The Water with thousands more students. Which party will you choose?
