Ever tried Steam’s Early Access program before? It’s a way to start playing a game or an expansion well before anyone else, but you are typically tasked with playing the role of “glorified tester”. You’re essentially paying to test a game before it’s released to the general public. Playing a game throughout its development has its risks but also its rewards. If you enjoy being involved and want to be a part of something, then this may be for you. If bugs irritate the hell out of you, then turn around and walk the other way, as a good experience is not guaranteed.
Enter Klei games’ wilderness survival game, Don’t Starve. This particular Early Access focuses on the upcoming multiplayer expansion, Don’t Starve Together.
December 15th is the day you’ll be able to jump in early, for the admission price of $19.99. If you’ve already got Don’t Starve, it’ll only cost you $4.99.
Hat tip to Crave’s Game Revolution for the heads up on the upcoming Early Access for this title.
