The Supanova Pop Culture Expo will make its way to Melbourne and the Gold Coast in the new year and organisers have announced another two television stars from the supernatural genre who will be joining the expo as special guests in 2015.
First up, Whedonverse fans should rejoice to the news that the original romantic vampire returns to Supanova in 2015. James Marsters, best know for his role as Spike, the goth-punk vampire from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and the show’s spin-off “Angel”, will join the Melbourne and Gold Coast Supanova Pop Culture Expo in April 2015.
Marsters also has many other notable credits to his name, including a recurring roles as Brainiac on “Smallville”, Captain John Hart in “Torchwood”, and more recently as Tarkoff in “Witches of East End”.
The April Supanova Pop Culture Expo lineup will also feature “Teen Wolf” heart-throb Tyler Hoechlin. As a semi-professional baseball player, Hoechlin’s big break into acting was his role as Tom Hanks’ son in the 2002 film Road to Perdition. Hoechlin currently stars as Derek Hale in the supernatural television drama, “Teen Wolf”.
The two TV stars now join a guest lineup that already includes the likes of Jason David Frank, known for his role as Tommy Oliver, the green ranger in long-running television show, “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” as well as “Merlin” stars Eoin Christopher Macken and Alexander Vlahos.
An impressive 192,400 fans attended Supanova across their six events in 2014, indicating another good show in the year ahead. The 2015 Melbourne event will take place at the Melbourne Showgrounds on April 10th-12th and the Gold Coast event will be held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre from April 17th-19th 2015.
