Oculus VR has stated that it aims to keep the Oculus Rift an open platform, meaning that yes, they’ll allow porn and adult-themed games to be experienced in virtual reality using it.
It wasn’t exactly a burning question I had regarding the VR headset, but I guess that enough people wanted to know whether they could strap on a VR headset and simulate sex that Oculus VR felt that they needed to address it. Speaking during a panel at the Silicon Valley Virtual Reality Conference in San Francisco, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey said: “The rift is an open platform. We don’t control what software can run on it. And that’s a big deal.”

This means that Oculus VR won’t be censoring X-rated content, and with a number of developers having already made crafted demos of VR porn for the Rift’s developer build, when its consumer model releases in the first quarter of 2016, we should expect an influx of sexually explicit software.
Complex previously posted a (kinda NSFW) video showing reactions to VR porn from people experiencing it for the first time, and the general opinion was that it may lead some to disappear into their bedrooms forever.

Now that Oculus VR has given the official go-ahead for VR porn to be produced, we must now patiently wait for the floodgates (no pun intended) to open up. It’s only a matter of time.
