Joel McHale Is Up For A ‘Community’ Movie, If Dan Harmon Writes It

Hold onto your hats “Community” fans, Greendale’s finest Jeff Winger, who goes by Joel McHale in the “real” world, has shed a small slither of light onto the show’s future, letting us he’s totally up for a “Community movie”. It’s just that Dan Harmon has to write the thing first.

Appearing on “Conan” to promote “Community”‘s sixth season finale, McHale spoke a bit about the show’s transformation following their cancellation from NBC and subsequent move to Yahoo. “They let Dan Harmon do anything,” said McHale of Yahoo. “It was a great season. There was no notes. There were no commercials. It was terrific.”

Despite all that good stuff, McHale went on to deal a bit of hard medicine to the “Community” fanbase, saying that while Yahoo is interested in another season, “I don’t think we are, unless they pay me a lot of money.” Ouch.

Don’t let those hopes fall too far though guys, he then swiftly added, “I think we will do a movie, if Dan [Harmon – “Community” creator,] will write the script.”

C’mon Dan, ball’s in your court. Check out the conversation below.
