It’s not the most common pairing: basketball and skateboarding. And yet, looking beyond the obvious differences, there may be quite a bit to the connection. Both are blacktop sports, activities that require patience, practice, and a lot of pounding of the pavement. They’re also both driven by a variety of practitioners that come from all walks of life to participate in the landscape of athletics. It is somewhere here that Rokit exists.
The brand was founded in 2016 and now boasts a solid fan base. The Spring 2017 collection, titled “Misled Youth”, is filled with super soft casual wear, consisting of hoodies, matching sweatpants, tees, tanks, jerseys and hats. The outliers of the collection make things really interesting, offering military-inspired pants, coats and jackets in sleek, shiny fabrics with removable patches.

One look at the goods, and the social marketing and merchandising that back it up, and you can tell that Rokit is making a move to define itself as one of the street style elite. Its a valiant effort, and we’re betting it pays off.
