Canned cocktails are all the rage, so it’s no wonder Coca-Cola wants to get in on that inebriation action. The beverage behemoth has announced it’s going to take one of its sodas and infuse it with booze. Which one? Fresca.
Yeah, we know, it’s been a minute since you even thought about the grapefruit-flavored pop that’s been around for 64 years. But maybe it’ll take up new space in your consciousness now that it’s going to have alcohol in it.
The new drink is called Fresca Mixed, and it will apparently come in a variety of flavors, though what those are is still under wraps. What we do know is that the line of adult beverages will be “inspired by recipes created by Fresca fans from around the globe,” according to Coca-Cola and Corona brewer Constellation Brands, which is partnering with Coke to bring the mash-up to fruition.
So…that’s about as substantive as a carbonated beverage. You’ll have to stay tuned to find out how long it will be ‘til you can get wasted on Fresca, which is something our teenage selves could’ve only dreamed about doing.
