Apple is believed to be upgrading Siri to feature the Shazam app in iOS 8.
Reports indicate the Shazam is teaming up with Apple in order to create a built-in feature for iOS 8 that will allow users to ask Siri what song is playing. Much in the same way that Siri is linked with Facebook and Twitter, this new alleged partnership will see Siri linked with Shazam, too.
Bloomberg‘s report also states that Apple is readying itself for a global release of iTunes Radio, and also transforming it into a standalone app rather than having it built in to iTunes.
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2014 is just around the corner, with iOS 8 expected to be announced at the event. If that is to be the case, then we’ll know more about this when the WWDC 2014 kicks off on June 2nd.
