Mac n’ cheese is a food most dorm room residents have been sucking down since they were two years old. Once in college, students might find it in the dining hall, or they might whip up some Kraft Easy Mac in their room via the microwave.
However, if they have said microwave and a little ambition, they can try this Dorm Room Mac n’ Cheese recipe.
Dorm Room Mac n’ Cheese
Ingredients:
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1/3 cup butter
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground mustard
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 8 oz cubed processed cheese
- 2 quart casserole
Preparation: Combine first seven ingredients. Cover and microwave for 3 1/2 minutes.
Stir Cover and cook at 50% power for 4 minutes until it comes to a boil. Turn once. Combine flour and milk until smooth
Stir into macaroni and mix. Add cheese.
Cover and cook for 6 – 8 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes.
