You just can’t make this stuff up.
A Reddit user who created the subreddit ‘The Fappening’, which was dedicated to posting the naked photos of female celebrities that were recently leaked, is now complaining about the Washington Post’s profiling of him.

Reddit user “Johnsmcjohn” started a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session in which he fielded questions from other users. During the Q&A, he explained how he didn’t appreciate the Washington Post running a story on him in which they shared some details regarding his online activity. Johnsmcjohn wrote:”Why is my being on an asexuality website or an Aspergers board relevant to my work on /r/TheFappening? I decided Thursday that I wouldn’t delete my account and if the press wants to send me thru the ringer, so be it. I won’t be bullied into silence.”
Now there’s a man with an almost terrifying lack of self-awareness.
The subreddit r/TheFappening was removed by Reddit admins for violating a number of its policies, though was criticised for not having done so for ethical reasons. Indeed, some subreddits still exist on the site that, among other things, show images of female and child corpses.
Reddit had previously removed a subreddit titled ‘Jailbait,’ which posted photographs of seemingly underage girls after media pressure intensified. The site even awarded user “Violentacrez” a golden bobble head for his contribution to that subreddit, before his identity was unearthed by Gawker. Watch the startling CNN interview with him below:
While Johnmcsjohn’s identity hasn’t been unearthed (even the Washington Post piece didn’t identify him by name) he’s certainly an example of just how short-sighted and unabashedly ignorant the people at the center of this controversy have been.
