Apple Debuts Thinnest Ever MacBook

Apple has debuted the company’s thinnest MacBook ever, with it set to come in three colors: silver, “space gray” and “stunning gold.”

The energy-efficient new model boasts a panel that consumes 30% less energy than previous display, and its contoured battery allows it to pack much more of a punch in this department, too, with Apple claiming it has an all-day battery life, with 9 hours of wireless web browsing and 10 hours of iTunes movie playback.

Apple talked of “extreme portability” with the new device, with the tech giant allowing you to “initiate a portable hotspot on your phone,” thus allowing it to always be wireless no matter where you are.

The company also unveiled the USB-C, a new USB device that is a power, DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA all rolled into one connector, with it also being one third the size of your average USB cable.

The new MacBook will also be the first to not come with a fan, which isn’t a surprise considering that it weighs just 2lbs. It will also not feature an SD card slot nor extra USB slots.

The device, simply titled MacBook, will be available on April 10th for $1,299, or $1,599 for a model that features a faster processor and double the amount of storage.
