Apparently North Korea Has Concocted A Hangover-Free Alcohol

North Korea is claiming that it has created a type of alcohol that will stop you from waking with a hangover.

As reported by the BBC, the country is stating that the 30%-40% proof liquor leaves you with no hangover in the morning, meaning you can drink and drink until you forget you’re in, well, North Korea.

It’s been made from an indigenous ginseng called insam and glutinous rice organically farmed. Coincidentally, North Korea also claimed last year that this miracle insam could cure Sars and Aids. It’s a natural herb thought to have medicinal properties, although there have been no reports since that it’s actually cured Aids.

Nor has there been any solid hard proof that this miracle alcohol they speak of can actually leave you without a hangover. However, The Pyongyang Times, an English and French language North Korean newspaper, said it “is highly appreciated by experts and lovers.”

The liquor has been described as “suave” (ooh la la), replacing sugar with the glutinous rice which removes the bitterness and “causes no hangover.”

There’s already one man though who has come to rain on the parade. Andray Abrahamian who travels to North Korea on business for the company Chosong Exchange said that he’s “not that keen on it as a tasty treat”. He added that, “there is no such thing as hangover-free booze anywhere in the world.”
