Italian cutting edge art and design brand BOSA offers a lively set of colorful pottery and porcelain talisman under the umbrella of ANIMAlità. This luxury decor, most of which boasts no discernible function, was created in collaboration with ten designers asked to create pieces inspired by “animality.” These designers —Sam Baron, Matteo Cibic, GamFratesi, Jaime Hayon, Sebastian Herkner, Lanzavecchia + Wai, Minale-Maeda, Elena Salmistraro, Ionna Vautrin and Nika Zupanc—have in turn reimagined the world of furry creatures, predators and winged birds through a kaleidoscope of bursting colors and elegantly sculpted pieces that walk the line between visionary art and high-end tchotchke.
Here are our favorite designs of the bunch:
Oh Baby It’s a Wild World
Loricato and Khepri
Compagno
Ariete, Unicorno and Toro
“The three pieces I designed are a fusion of mythology and personal memories,” says Baron, “where a bull becomes a Minotaur, the ram is seen as an honoured sacrificed animal used to celebrate gods, or even in a wilder way the horse becomes a fantastical figure like the unicorn.”
