12-Year-Old Australian Boy Fights With Mom, Steals Credit Card, Goes On Lavish Vacation

I remember being angry at my parents as a kid. Who doesn’t? Bed times, vegetables, no Nintendo because dad is too busy watching ‘the game.’ The struggle was is real.

But what one 12-year-old boy recently did to his parents isn’t only stunning, it’s the act of defiance heard ’round the world.

The kid from Sydney wanted to go to Bali, a tropical Indonesian island that looks like this.

Of course, his mother told him ‘no.’ But considering he demanded an adventure, Ferris Bueller junior decided to take matters into his own hands.

The adolescent stole his parents’ credit card, tricked his grandma into giving him his passport, and after a little research on airlines, booked a flight to Perth, then another to Indonesia where he finally checked into the All Seasons hotel.

The morning of the trip he initially told his family he was going to school, but rode his razor scooter to the local train station instead and kicked off his vacation.

Savage.

He was only quizzed once, at Perth airport, when staff asked him for identification to prove he was over 12. Guardian Australia has independently confirmed the boy made the trip.

“They just asked for my student ID and passport to prove that I’m over 12 and that I’m in secondary school,” he told A Current Affair. “It was great because I wanted to go on an adventure.”

The boy told the hotel staff that he was waiting for his sister.

Mom and dad didn’t find out their son was in another country across the ocean until his school reported him absent. Once they discovered he was in Bali, mom flew to pick him up.

I have a strange feeling this ‘situation’ is far from over. That being said, there’s a Hollywood script here.
