The scariest thing I’ve ever woken up to is a puddle of piss under me from when my dog used to sleep in my bed. But that’s about it. I can honestly say that I’ve never woken up to an animal that can tear my face off, but some poor dude in India did.
Dasharath Madkami was probably having an amazing dream, but he unfortunately woke up. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Madkami woke up to a noise, and when he went to investigate he came face-to-face with a 12-foot crocodile.
Wildlife authorities were called to the remote Indian village in the state of Orissa after Madkami probably crapped his pants. But guess what? Madkami and his neighbor worked together to tie the croc to a tree. Holy hell, good going, folks.

Wildlife authorities arrived and relocated the giant croc. And according to officials the croc probably wandered into the village from the Satiguda dam, which is located less than a mile from the village. So that sucks.
“There are some 30-40 crocodiles in the Satiguda dam. This one had perhaps slipped into the village, which is just a kilometer (.6 miles) away from the dam, to lay eggs,” local forest official Sushant Nayak told the BBC.
And don’t worry, croc fans, this giant thing was released into the Balimela reservoir, 37 miles from the village.
