Speed Camera
SLUG: ME-SPEEDCAMS DATE: September 27, 2009 PLACE: Rockville, MD PHOTOGRAPHER: jahi chikwendiu/twp Speed cameras monitor traffic on the 2200 block of Wooton Parkway in front of Wooton High School in Rockville, MD, where the speed limit is 25mph. The story is of one speed camera -- the technology, why it was put where it is, how many tickets it generates, how much money, where it goes, how traffic patterns have changed, how many people have mooned it. Man Caught On Camera Destroying Speed Camera Is A True Hero

Look, I’m not encouraging people to go out there and destroy public property, I’m really not. But It’s hard not to root for the man in the video below, a video that shows a car pulling up to a speed camera in the median of a road only for a man to jump out of the backseat and go completely bonkers on the camera.

The Metropolitan Police Department recently shared a video onto YouTube that shows the Washington D.C. man losing his mind and destroying the camera. But he wasn’t only destroying it for himself, he was destroying it for every citizen that has been bent over and made to pay absurd speeding tickets.

Take a look at the video below:

And that wasn’t the only camera destroyed that night as police also reveal that at least four other cameras were smashed around the same time. No word yet if this dude is just pissed off that this camera led to him getting a ticket, or if he’s just protesting the incorporation of additional cameras which would raise the total count in the district to over 300. That’s right, over 300.

Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to this guy’s arrest, but they should just give him the money for being the hero we all need.
