The My Pillow Guy and ardent Trump supporter, Mike Lindell is in legal trouble again. This time, he’s getting sued for unpaid bills (again), adding to the stack of issues Lindell has faced over the last five years. Things aren’t looking good for MyPillow, and this might be the final straw for the once-successful company.
MyPillow hit with another lawsuit over unpaid pills
This time, MyPillow is being sued by parcel delivery company DHL. According to the suit, DHL claims that MyPillow violated a contract from a previous settlement from April 2024 that required it to pay $818,493 in 24 installments of $32,291.67.
DHL says that MyPillow paid two of the agreed-upon monthly payments, totaling $64,583.34. However, the last payment was received in June, and MyPillow hasn’t paid since. As a result of the company defaulting, DHL is seeking $799,925.59 in interest and attorney fees.
Speaking with The Associated Press, Lindell stated that he wasn’t sure what the lawsuit was about. He claims MyPillow stopped using DHL a year ago due to a dispute about shipments that he claims was DHL’s fault.
The suit is just the latest in MyPillow’s downward spiral. Lindell alienated retailers and advetisers due to his herculean effort to spread pro-Trump conspiracy theories about the 2020 U.S. presidential election results. What money he had after defammation suits from two voting machine companies was likely wasted on starting his Frank online network, which consists of the online video site FrankSpeech and the social media site FrankSocial.
According to NBC News, in October 2023, Lindell’s legal firm said that he owed millions in arrears and that it could not longer afford to represent him. In response, Lindell was quoted as saying, “We’ve lost everything, every dime. All of it is gone.”
It’s unclear whether MyPillow intends to pay DHL or if this is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Lindell has stayed afloat so far, but there may not be any cushion for him to land on this time.
