Montreal band Arcade Fire will be doing the music score for the new Spike Jonze flick “Her” – the band and the director have already worked together on their 2010 album “The Suburbs.”
According to a CBC News article, the flick stars Joaquin Phoenix, Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, and Olivia Wilde, and the storyline revolves around a man who falls in love with an artificial intelligence computer operating system. A trailer was released this week and will be shown in theatres this November.
Jonze, who has worked on music videos for bands like Fatboy Slim, Beastie Boys, Weezer, Beck and Bjork, also featured Arcade Fire’s music in the trailer for his flick “Where the Wild Things Are.”
Meanwhile, the Montreal indie rock band has a new highly-anticipated album coming out on October 29th.
