Aislinn Paul Stars In NBC’s Series Heroes: Reborn

Best known for her lead role in CTV’s Degrassi: The Next Generation, Aislinn Paul can now be seen in the NBC miniseries Heroes: Reborn premiering this fall. The miniseries is a continuation of NBC’s hugely popular sci-fi series Heroes, and Aislinn plays the role of Phoebe Frady.

Aislinn also posts an impressive social media following with nearly 92,000 followers on Twitter.

Here’s what the actress, who was born and raised in Toronto, said about working on the series, who she’d love to team up with in the biz, and what she’ll do in the case of a zombie apocalypse.

Tell us about your work on Heroes: Reborn.

It’s been a hectic but really rewarding ride. My character Phoebe is unlike anything else I’ve played and I’m having a great time figuring her out. I was so lucky that I got to work through her origin story in Heroes Reborn: Dark Matters, the web-series prequel to the show, and that helped me discover who she is and how she could become what you see in Heroes: Reborn.

Any other projects in the pipeline?

A few things I’m hoping will work out! Fingers crossed.

You’re very active on social media – what do you use social media for? What are you such a fan of social media?

I really enjoy being able to interact with individual people through social media. Sometimes with television and film you can feel kind of distant from the audience, and sites like Twitter erase that gap entirely. I’ve also connected with really interesting people I’d probably never have met without social media.

Who is someone in the business that you look up to and would love to work with?

The list is very long! There are so many people I admire in this business. Top of the list would definitely be Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher. I love quick dialogue and complex characters.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?

I love snow storms and planning for the apocalypse. So obviously I’m heading north when the zombie outbreak hits.
