President Obama Will Guest Star on Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

Normally, Jerry Seinfeld teams up with a famous comedian in his ongoing web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. But later this month, Seinfeld will be joined by President Barack Obama on the seventh season premiere of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Unlike most of Seinfeld’s guests, Obama isn’t allowed to simply go out for a drive by himself or even to get behind the wheel of a car. But for the purposes of his appearance on Seinfeld’s show, Obama and Seinfeld took turns driving a 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe around the White House driveway before retiring to the staff dining room in the White House for coffee.

“Growing up in the ’60s my kid dream was always to be an astronaut — doing a comedy show with President Obama in and around the White House felt like going into space,” said Seinfeld during an interview with CNN.”‘How did I get here?’ ‘Is this really happening?’ The President’s humor and generosity are the only reasons this was even possible.”

“Being President and just a cool guy to hang out with at the same time made the experience my own personal moonwalk,” added Seinfeld. “It was an unforgettable day.”

Obama recently appeared on Running Wild With Bear Grylls earlier this month, and he’s also made a guest appearance on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Season 7 will premiere on Crackle on December 30. Other guests lined up for this season include Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, Kathleen Madigan, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Garry Shandling. You can watch the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Season 7 promo video below.
