Horrifying Serial Killers You Didn't Know Existed
Tyler Hadley
Nothing ever happened in Port St. Lucie, Florida until one night in July 2011. Word got out that Tyler Hadley , a relatively unknown 17-year-old, was throwing an epic party. That night, 60 high schoolers came to his house, smoked blunts, played beer pong, and put cigarettes out on the rug. "Just do whatever you want," Tyler told them. Everything was cool, because his parents wouldn't be back that night, or ever.
Earlier, after taking three hits of ecstasy, Tyler strolled to his parents' office where he found his mother Mary Jo typing at the computer. After standing behind her for five minutes, he bludgeoned her to death with a hammer. Hearing her screams, Tyler's father came rushing to the room, where he found the bloody mess. "Why?" Tyler's dad asked him. "Why the fuck not?" Tyler responded, before killing him.
During the party, Tyler told kids that he'd be going away for life and that he might kill himself. Nobody believed him until he brought one teen up to his parents' office.

Ahmad Suradji
In 1988, Ahmad Suradji had a dream. The ghost of his father told him to kill 70 women and drink their saliva so that he could attain magical powers. Over the course of 11 years, he would follow through on his father's advice.
Believed to be a spiritual healer in his local Indonesian village, young women would approach him and ask if he could cast a spell. After paying a $200 fee, Suradji would take these women to a sugar plantation and bury them from the waist down. He would then strangle them from behind with a cord, and drink their spit. His three wives -- all sisters -- would help him bury the bodies. In 1998, authorities found Suradji guilty of killing 42 women and girls, and sentenced him to death via firing squad.

Robert Hansen
Robert Hansen died in August 2014 in prison at the age of 75. He lived far too long. Here's why.
As a child, women would shun Hansen because, as he put it, his face was "one big pimple." He also spoke with a stutter. All those years built up inside of him a rage that never died.
From 1971 to 1983, Hansen killed up to 30 women and raped another 30. But here's where it gets horrifying -- as if that wasn't horrifying enough. He would solicit prostitutes and dancers in the night and drive them to his private plane (he was a licensed pilot). He would then fly them out into the remote Alaskan wilderness and tie them up, rape them, and set them free. Then, armed with his favorite rifle, he would hunt them, stalk them, and eventually murder them in the bush.

Westley Dodd
Westley Allan Dodd began his career as a prolific molester at the age of 13. His father noticed his behavior and turned the other cheek, simply because he abstained from drugs and alcohol. His streak would escalate, and by the age of 28, Dodd had amassed 175 children under his belt. Due to cracks in the judicial system, he was left relatively unscathed.
He moved to Washington State. In 1988, he lured two brothers aged 10 and 13 into the woods and tied them to a tree, molesting, then stabbing them to death. The case that finally brought him down was the murder of a four-year-old boy, whom he strangled with a rope after sexually abusing him. In late 1989, Dodd tried to abduct a child at a movie theater, but the child screamed. Attracting attention, Dodd fled in his car but it broke down three blocks away. In 1993, he was hanged by request -- the first hanging in America since 1965.

Andrew Kehoe
In the 1920s, American farmer Andrew Kehoe was well liked around the town of Bath, Michigan. He had a reputation for thrift, neatness, and high intelligence. He was even the township clerk for a brief time in 1925, until he was defeated in the 1926 election for the position. This angered Kehoe. He stopped doing work on his farm. He stopped paying his bills. Neighbors thought he was planning suicide, but he was planning something much worse.
On May 18, 1927, Kehoe set dynamite and hundreds of pounds of pyrotol to detonate at the local elementary school. The bomb went off, killing 42 people, including 38 children, and injuring 58. As people rushed to the rescue, Kehoe walked into his truck filled with shrapnel, and detonated another bomb, killing himself and a few more. To this day, it is the deadliest mass school slaying in U.S. history.
Mary Cotton
Authorities in Victorian England would never assume that a sad widower would be capable of such heinous crimes. For women were the "fairer sex," gentler, and innocent. But Mary Ann Cotton would establish a precedent by becoming Britain's first serial killer.
Mary Ann Cotton was convicted of killing 11 of her 13 children, three of her four husbands, as well as her mother and one of her lovers. Her weapon of choice? Arsenic. All of those around her died of gastric fever. No one suspected her. The infant mortality rates were high and the working class suffered poor nutrition in the 19th century. In total, 21 people would suffer the wrath of a lady who simply wanted to collect life insurance. In 1873, she was hanged from the gallows, thrashing around due to an error in planning, dying of an excruciating choking death instead of an instant broken neck. Maybe it was karma.

Carl Panzram
In his autobiography, Carl Panzram is quoted as saying, "In my lifetime I have murdered 21 human beings, I have committed thousands of burglaries, robberies, larcenies, arsons and, last but no least, I have committed sodomy on more than 1,000 male human beings. For all these things I am not in the least bit sorry."
After running away from home at the age of 14, he was gang-raped on a train by a team of hobos. This might've screwed him up a wee bit. Later dubbing himself "rage personified," Panzram would rape men he robbed. Noted for his great physical strength, he was able to pull off such stunts. One time he hired a group of six rowers, shot them, and tossed their bodies to crocodiles.
After being imprisoned, Panzram was sentenced to hang. As the noose was being tied, he spit in the executioner's face and shouted, "I wish the entire human race had one neck and I had my hands around it." If there were a medal for such a thing, this guy deserves it for being the most psychopathic, nihilistic asshole in all of history.
Luis Garavito
The local media in Colombia calls him "the world's worst serial killer." Luis Garavito confessed to the rape, torture and slaying of 147 young boys. Mostly peasant children, he'd lure them with gifts and money. After gaining their trust, he'd take long walks with them until they got tired. In 1999, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison (Colombia is behind the times). Alarmingly, Garavito's sentence was recently reduced to 22 years due to good behavior.

Amardeep Sada
Amardeep Sada was eight years old when he was arrested. He is India's youngest serial killer. His first two victims were his sister and cousin, both under a year old. Another was a neighbor in the impoverished Indian village he grew up in. Sada would take infants to a field and lay them on the ground. He would pick up a stone and drop it on their heads, killing them. In 2007, he was finally taken into custody for three murders. He is now being evaluated by professionals.

Richard Chase
Richard Chase (The Vampire of Sacramento) was a nightmare in the flesh. He was a paranoid schizophrenic who did the unthinkable. Let's start with his mid-twenties. After moving out of his mom's house, Chase got an apartment with some friends. He would always be under the influence of alcohol, marijuana and acid, often walking around the apartment naked, even if they had company. This led his "friends" to move out. Once they were gone, the "fun" would begin.
At night, Chase would capture animals and kill them. He would take their remains and put them in a blender, mixing it with coca-cola, and drinking the concoction. He was eventually taken to a mental hospital where his nickname "The Vampire" would come to full fruition. One time nurses saw him injecting rabbit blood into his veins, other times he'd capture birds and eat them alive. Unfortunately, Chase was deemed no longer a threat to society and released.
In 1978, he was convicted on six counts of murder taking place over one month. In one instance, he shot a pregnant woman three times and raped her corpse. He cut off her nipple, disemboweled her, and drank her blood. He then went outside and found dog feces, brought it back inside, and stuffed it in her mouth.
Thankfully, this man is dead. In 1980, prison guards found him lifeless on his bed. He had died of an overdose of antidepressants a doctor prescribed him, which he had saved for weeks.
