If Khim Hang is either a friend of yours or a family member and you don’t know what to get her for her birthday this year, a 12-pack of extensive therapy sessions might be a great place to start.
According to NTV Online, the 74-year-old Cambodian woman said that up to 100 people a day visit her home in Kratie to see the calf that she lets sleep on a pillow that once belonged to her husband.
The reason she does this? You guessed it: She thinks that the calf is the reincarnation of her dead husband. Yup, she even married the damn thing.
“I believe that the calf is my husband because whatever he does…is in exactly the same way as my husband did when he was alive,” Hang said. “I will keep him and take care of him for my entire life.”
Taking care of a calf that you think is your reincarnated husband seems like it’s really hard work, as it means Hang must let it live inside the house. Once inside, the calf walks up and down the stairs, gets fed and washed and then gets some serious shuteye on that coveted dead husband’s pillow.
